I was out shooting Durham on Monday night with a photographer friend, when we cam upon the bus depot. I knew it existed but had actually never tried to find it, not sure why, now. Anyway, my friend, John, setup his camera and took a long exposure of the depot, then showed me the shot (his was similar to the one below).
I thought his image looked very interesting, so I setup and took a few also. We waited for the buses that were returning, to come down the street and turn the corner. I had never really tried to get light trails before, so I was surprised at how nice this image turned out.
The deport itself is an interesting glass structure and would also make a great image by itself. I’ll be back for more images in the future, I’m sure.
