Freedom

Inspired by Literature

“You have the freedom to be yourself,
your true self, here and now, and nothing can stand in
your way.”
 – Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull

The book, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, is special to me because it was the first full book I ever read by myself. I had trouble reading until a third grade teacher, Mrs Gunnings, took the time and figured out that I had dyslexia. After working with me, I was able to read and have loved reading ever since.

This image was taken at Lake Crabtree park in Raleigh, NC during a lunch break walk. The blue heron was sitting on a dock when I arrived and I slowly got close and took several pictures. After a while, the bird flew off, but another one flew by as I was sitting there. This was the first time I have seen two blue herons at the park.

Cheers,
Wade
